Re: Who is racing at round 1?
I'll give it a go. Last time the D was out at Mallala (couple years maybe) I only got a couple laps before it siezed through the kink! The cause was that 60 thou thinner head that was on it. Bad idea.... Now has standard sized combustion chambers and standard reliability, which could be anything really!

Have heard that about you. Also heard you're scared of showers and baths.

GKRs standard motor!
The only reason GKRs' motor is back to standard is because somebody took away his lathe and mill machine and he's not that good with a file!
Nice fella though!

Yes. The only thing that head "development" did was make it go faster.... back on to the trailer....

The bikes still in pieces...
But hopefully I'll be there for round 2 and any practice sessions from late June onwards!

Looks like my bike "may" be ready in time. Will have to pay the late fee if it is. Anyone wanna lend me 20 bucks?

Good work Jason.
How much trouble have you gone to in hiding the illegal non period bit's n pieces ???
I can lend you 20 bucks but my interest rates are steep.

Well, lets just say, that if you want to find the non period bits, you'll need all the right tools. But then again.... who ever complains about someone running around in the middle of the field or at the back of the pack?
Turns out there might be a bit more of a delay getting my engine back together than I thought. Racing isn't a "gimme" at the moment.

Hmm....let me see now..
I too thought that until I did some measuring and comparing with other RD specs, bikes, & people etc.
In conclusion it apparently boils down to my noisy exhaust and my non period front mudguard in my apparent gains in speed .
I actually reckon that is it cos I painted my calipers red and got some cool yami stickers for the rims
Alas it's all good fun though.
Hoping for a Sunday week.
Chow wow.

PS I like the "Young" part as well.

Non period mudgaurd and noisey exhausts you say?
Well to make sure you dont do any thing you shouldn't, maybe we should make sure the noise meter is out and about, and the log book is checked in great detail, and maybe place a speed camera on the back straight/kink just to keep you honest!
As for Jasons bike going back together, I think I should be able to bring out the 9 inch angle grinder and do some small porting mods which should turn it into an uncontrollable, unreliable hand grenade but would be interesting to follow him into turn one in practice!
What's with the thing? Rain is what we want and lots of it!
Spoke with Richard today and by all accounts it looks like we could have at least 10 LCs on the grid.
Let the games begin!

Re: Who is racing at round 1?
I'll be there at Mallala, Racing again. The same as last time. Need some more speed, smaller jets, different pipes, a 350 engine (hang on, did I type that or was I just thinking it)
