RD Cup Round 1 - Mallala Empty RD Cup Round 1 - Mallala

Well, the first round of the RD Cup has been run and won!
We had 12 LCs on the grid along with a couple of air cooled D's. Our point scoring system worked a treat and the right guys took home the prize money and prizes.

1st - $100 went to Jason Crocker with his freshly rebuilt motor, 2nd - $50 went to John Strauss on his immaculate Mellow Yellow paint job and only his second ever race meet, 3rd - $25 went to Jamie De Mack and word is, he's spending all the money on buying a fleet of LC racers and a new throttle cable supplier! The give away prize of a nice shiny new Nitro helmet went to Gavin Kaesler just because his bike managed to complete the entire meeting this time instead of a 1 lap wonder! (His words were "60 thou off the head is not a good idea!").

All racers seemed to enjoy the day with quite a few battles taking place through out the day and no gravel rash to be seen!
The level of presentation is increasing at every outing and is attracting a good interest from fellow racers and the public.

Thanks to all for their participation in the meeting and thanks to the Cafe Racer Club for allowing us to run our sub class amongst their events.
Hopefully, the next event at Mallala we will see the entry list increase, with the Prize money and prizes being put up once again.
See you all next event! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Had nothing to do with the motor and everything to do with the rider. Wink

I'm hoping to make consistent 1:28's next time out.

Congrats to the other place getters. And a huge thanks to Brett and Richard for organising all of this, it's a great idea and an absolute hoot!!

Anyone know if there are any photos up online?

Jason
