Lectron Carbs?
I have bought a pair of 34mm Lectron Carbs (Ebay specials!) for my 350LC project and found that both metering rods have been tampered with!
I now need to buy some new metering rods!
Has any body got contacts for lectron spares in Australia or knows of anyone selling off their stash of lectron bits?
My carbs are the early type lectrons with the grubscrew type metering rods.
Has anyone had experience with running Lectrons on LCs?

Re: Lectron Carbs?
I have been using Lectrons on LCs since 1981.
I use 6-2 rods in 32mm or 34mm in the 350 and 370 with 60 to 75 powerjets.
I get new Lectron parts from:
Fast By Gast in USA http://www.fastbygast.com/
Hot To Go Racing (HTG) http://www.htgracing.com/index.php
I get 2nd hand Lectron parts from:
Helmut Clasen in Canada http://speedy_c.tripod.com

Re Lectron Carbs.
Thanks Mark for those links.
I had already found the Fastbygast one but the others are new to me.
My Carbs are of the old grub screw type.(Non power jet) Are these the same as what you are running or are yours of the latter models?
I was told these came from a TZ 350 and they were running #4 rods. Would the #6-2 rods be a good starting point for a relatively standard 350 motor with standard pipes or should I be starting with a #4-1 rod as I have been told #4 are no longer available!
Regards,
Brett.

Re: Lectron Carbs?
I ran 5-1 in Lectron 32mm Powerjet with standard motor and standard pipes and Boyesen reeds with reed stops opened up to 12.5mm and the oil pump still fitted.
This was on my road bike. As well as extra power I got an extra 50km to a tank of fuel.
If you fit RG250 pipes, thin head gasket, 1.8mm btdc, 1.5mm off top of exhaust port, RZ or Banshee reed blocks with CarbonTech HT245 reeds and open up the transfers in cases to match the barrels you can run 6-2.
If you are going to fit the RZ or Banshee reed blocks then it is best to do it before you rebore the cylinder so you can build up the area outside the reed block with alloy weld and not have to worry about distorting the barrel.
You will want to fit powerjets. The Mikuni powerjets were fitted to Lectrons in the era.
