Re: RG Chambers on LC
fairly sure 'terry' at redline exhaust has fitted some up , i know the later series '3' rg chambers are the go ,i do have the prefix number if you like, somewhere , i have heard fair reports of them working well.. ive got some hanging up the question is are they of the 'era' i think their '1983' ,which the rules sort of suggest ,

I think exhausts are classified as non major component and as long as they look suitable they should pass, thats from memory mind you so no liability accepted etc etc, read the rule book its in there somewhere.........................

Here is a picture worth a thousand words:
I cut the header pipes at 9cm and rotate them until they match the cylinder angle.
Then make them round at the cut (they are slightly oblong at this point).
The rear mounting is via the rubber exhaust silencer blocks.

The problem with the original RG silencers is they have road baffles in them.
You could cut them open and replace the core with a perforated tube that has an inside diameter about the same size as the outside diameter of the pipe stinger.
Or you could make lighter weight silencers using alloy tubing.
Or you could buy a set of RG250 race silencers from someone like: Swarbrick Racing
