Carb Flanges Empty Carb Flanges

Post  4L-OWE Wed May 27, 2009 8:34 am

in the interest of keeping the forum alive, a copy of my post from the RD-LC webpage FYI:

rebuilt my bike today and was swearing at the airbox rubbers as usual, then I thought "how'd they fit these at the factory"

well, it was nearly 30 years ago, so the rubber would have been much more pliable then.

so I soaked them in hot water for a few minutes and

HEY PRESTO!

the bastards went in like a bought one...

obvious, but not to me!

p.s. started on the fourth kick, some six months after the blow up!
